Glenda’s prints demonstrate a painterly approach to printmaking. Working with monoprint, instinctively creating an impressionistic response to colour and mark-making. Using a large gel plate, she builds layer upon layer of acrylic adding resist techniques to reveal and emphasise glimpses of the coloured layers.

Glenda’s inspiration is based on an emotional response to landscape, particularly to the ritual sculpted landscapes of prehistory.

With a background in Textile Art, she finds her emphasis on mark-making using dye and stitch is highly transferable into printmaking.
